Ulteig is excited to announce that we are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to work in our Transportation Department. The Senior Traffic Engineer will support our diverse clients with a wide range of engineering planning and design projects. As a leader on the transportation team, the Senior Traffic Engineer will play an integral role in mentoring and developing junior engineers. The ideal candidate will be a seller-doer with client relationships in the Front Range, Midwest, and/or Texas. The position can be performed remotely; however, being geographically near projects/ clients will be essential. The role will involve maintaining client relationships and business development activities to help build the traffic team.

What You&s;ll Do


n

The Senior Traffic Engineer will support the execution of plans and projects from initiation through completion. This includes project scoping, narratives to support documents, report compilation, responses to comments, and project close-out. Other responsibilities include.

  • Participate in new business pursuits, including business development, proposal writing, and project interviews.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and teaming partners.

  • Collaborate with and grow traffic and transportation engineering practices.

  • n
  • Work collaboratively with project and design teams to develop, prepare, and review project deliverables to accomplish project objectives and meet client expectations.

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate traffic design review meetings and the development of accurate, complete plans, specifications, and reports in accordance with engineering best practices.

  • Maintain regular, open, positive communication with clients, management, and stakeholders on critical issues and project progress.

  • Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.

  • n
  • Remain current in the latest transportation engineering subject matter, practices, regulations, and techniques.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

What We Expect from You


n

  • n
  • Bachelor&s;s degree in civil engineering.

  • n
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in primary work location and ability to transfer license to service locations as required.

  • n
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license is preferred.

  • n
  • Minimum of 10 years of continuous and progressive experience in Traffic Engineering.

  • n
  • Experience working and existing contacts within the Front Range, Midwest, and/or Texas is highly preferred.

  • n
  • Advanced proficiency in Synchro SimTraffic, SIDRA, HCS, and other relevant traffic software.

  • n
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and technical writing skills.

  • n
  • Must be familiar with contract administration and be able to deliver projects within contract scope and requirements.

  • n
  • Experience with traffic signal design, roundabout design, and intersection design.

  • n
  • Operational Analysis of roadway intersections, corridors, interchanges, freeways, and ramps.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Flexibility and ability to work effectively on multiple concurrent projects, meeting established timelines.

  • n
  • The ability to travel to project meetings and job sites is required.

  • n
  • Planning, concept development, and feasibility studies experience preferred.

  • n
  • Bicycle and pedestrian facility review and design experience preferred.

  • n
  • ITS Design and Signing /Striping layout and design experience preferred.

  • n
  • Experience in traffic operations/traffic signal timing is preferred.

  • n
  • Authorization to work in the US is required.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $140,000
The salary displayed represents the middle of a range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
